Inverness Intercollegiate Hosts 12 Collegiate Golf Teams

The Inverness Club hosted 12 collegiate golf teams for the annual Inverness Intercollegiate at the historic club in Toledo.

The University of Tennessee won the team title with a three-round score of 12-over-par. Virginia and San Francisco Universities tied for runner-up, seven shots behind the Volunteers.

Thomas Walsh from Virginia was red hot for the three rounds posting 8-under-par to win the individual medal honors by nine strokes. Soren Lind of San Francisco finished runner-up and Spencer Cross from Tennessee was third.

Other teams that participated included, Santa Clara, St. Mary’s (California), Butler, Louisiana, St. Bonaventure, Fresno State and Mercer.

Ohio schools, Toledo, the host school, finished seventh and Dayton tied for ninth
