Bobby Bourne has been helping golfers, of all skill levels, to improve for 48 years and has conducted over 45,000 lessons. He has coached 12 Ohio High School State Champions, helped junior golfers earn over $3.5 million in college scholarships and even a few have gone to become professionals.
Bourne has spent the last 22 years teaching at StoneWater Golf Club near Cleveland, while spending the winter in Fort Myers, Florida teaching at the Alico Family Golf Range. He was inducted into the Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame in 2016 and with all the video training products available on the market today, he prefers V1 Coaching Software.
Bourne told us,
“50 percent of my students are junior golfers. Children especially respond much quicker to visual learning. The V1 video software allows me to immediately show students their swing flaws and develop drills to correct those problem areas.”
Just a few steps from the practice range, Bobby’s office computer is connected to a large monitor to view video with each student, or print a picture of a particular swing segment for review. The V1 Coaching Software also allows Bourne to pull that example up for comparison on a split screen with the correct swing, which also accelerates learning.
One of the more appealing aspects of the V1 Coaching Software is the ability to use modern technology to send video via, computer, tablet or smart phone for the student to study at home.
V1 also allows the student to communicate with his teacher, even if they are a thousand miles apart. If one of his students is experiencing a problem and not able to physically visit Bobby at his training center at StoneWater Golf Club, a video can be sent for analysis. Bourne can then break it down on the V1 Software, make the appropriate corrections and notations, before sending it back to the student.
V1 was founded in 1995 and is a leader in video swing analysis software, delivering game improvement instruction by connecting golf professionals and their students via their computer or smartphone.
V1 pioneered video instruction along with integrated telestration and voiceover. The company has delivered over three million internet video lessons conducted by more than 6,000 PGA golf professionals, including many Top 100 instructors. Plus, in both 2016 and 2017 Golf Digest ranked V1 the No. 1 Video Analysis Software in its category.
Bobby Bourne is committed to bringing the best teaching methods to help his golfing students improve. V1 Coaching Software is a major component of his overall teaching program.
