Ohio Golf Association 2018 Championship Dates

As we enter 2018 golfers will be preparing their games for amateur competition. If you are a serious golfer, the Ohio Golf Association has posted a few dates to the calendar that you may want to mark down.

Golf in Ohio is a tradition that has been enjoyed for more than 100 years.

With that in mind, the Ohio Golf Association conducts five championships annually. The Junior Championship, Mid-Amateur Championship, Amateur Championship, Senior Amateur and Two Man Best Ball.

During the end of May qualifiers for the Ohio Amateur Championship will be held at six locations around the state. All of the sites have not yet been announced. Check their website for the official dates and courses, http://www.ohiogolf.org/html/tournaments_schedule.asp

The Ohio Amateur Championship will be held July 9-13 at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Powell.

The Ohio Junior Amateur will be held June 11-13 at York Golf Club.

Worthington Hills Country Club will host the Ohio Mid-Amateur Championship, July 18-21.

On August 13-15, Denison Golf Club will host the Ohio Senior Amateur.

The Two-Man Best Ball will be held at Jefferson Country Club, September 17-19.

Be like Hogan, Practice, Practice, Practice, Dig it out of the Dirt and be ready to compete this summer.
