Men

Bob Cooley has served as the head coach of the Ohio men’s golf program since 1988. He was promoted to Director of Golf in Sept. 2002, assuming administrative and coaching duties for both the men’s and women’s teams at OU.

This season marks Cooley’s 30th year at the helm of the men’s golf program.

Cooley has guided his alma mater to nine top-five finishes at the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Bobcats have finished in the top three on four occasions.

The Bobcats opened their spring season with events in Florida and Georgia. March will see them travel to North Carolina for the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

April will find the team in the Greenbrier Invitational and the Stich Intercollegiate, before the MAC Championship.

Ohio University Women

Two seniors and four juniors, along with one sophomore and two freshmen, give the Lady Bobcat’s an experience advantage.

Head Coach Kelly Ovington is a Michigan State graduate and has led the OU women’s team, since 2008.

Her teams are always strong on academics. The 2011 team took the top spot with the best GPA (3.83) in all of Division I NCAA Golf.

The team opened their spring season at the MAC Match Play in Florida and the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational in Arizona in February.

In March they travel to Dade City, Florida and Richmond, Kentucky. In April they will compete in the Delores Black Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio, before the MAC Championship.
