Men’s Team 4HE 2OCKETS ÚRST YEAR -ENmS Head Coach Jeff Roope spent 10 years as both Men’s and Women’s Head Coach at Wittenberg. Roope inherited a somewhat experienced team with two seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and two freshmen. The team has an INTERNATIONAL ÛAVOR WITH TWO of the team members from Scotland, and one each from Ireland and England. The balance of the team is from Ohio and Michigan. UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO They began their spring season with a win over Depaul and 3-3 ties with Eastern Michigan and Miami at the Earl Yesingsmeier Match Play. UT will compete in the Louisiana Classics, the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate, Mission Inn Springs Specatular, Seahawk Intercollegiate and the Boiler Invitational before the Mid-American Conference Championships in late April. Find the full UT Rockets Men’s Golf schedule here. UT Women’s Team The University of Toledo Women’s Golf Team began their Spring schedule with a win at the Battle of Boulder Creek in LasVegas. Sophomore Pinyada Kuvanun improved every round with scores of 77- 73-70 to win the Individual title.The LadyRockets captured the team title, as well, in the nine-team event. The team was left without a Head Coach, however, as Nicole Hollingsworth announced she would leave her position immediately on February 13. Associate Athletic Director Kelly Andrews and Graduate Assistant Sathika Ruenreong will supervise the program and travel with the team to its tournaments, while the search for a new Head Coach is underway. The full spring schedule is available at here. Men: John Powers, who is a BGSU Alum, was named Head Men’s Golf Coach for the Falcons earlier this year. The job had been vacated by Kevin Farrell, who left to become the men’s golf coach at Mount St. Marys. Powers is inheriting an experienced team with two seniors, four juniors, a lone sophomore and two freshmen. Powers is excited to be hack at home.
