Ohio State’s Jaclyn Lee was four shots behind her in second place with four rounds to go. The annual Ohio Cup features a match-play format with teams comprised of the nine top section members, six senior members, plus one Captain’s Pick. The Northern Ohio PGA team started strong in the first day’s four-ball session at Kirtland Country Club and took the early 5.5-2.5 lead. The Southern team rebounded in the afternoon and at the end of day only a single point separated the two teams, 12.5-11.5. The final-day singles matches were hard fought and many went down the wire. In the end the Northern Team managed to eke out another full point advantage 8.5-7.5 to win the Ohio Cup by two full points and will hold bragging rights for one more year.
