KSU Women The KSU women’s golf team is ranked 13 th in the NCAA Division I Pre-Season Poll. Since Greg Robertson took over as Head Coach of the women’s golf team, they have never lost in the MAC Championship and it doesn’t appear that anyone in the MAC will outdo them again this season. They began the Fall Season with an 11 th PLACE ÚNISH OUT OF THE TEAM ÚELD AT THE *OE Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Country Club in Huntington, West Virginia and tenth out of 15 teams at the EKU Raising Canes Intercollegiate at Richmond, Kentucky. First-year Head Coach Carter Cheves was previously at James Madison and just assumed the post in July. The Bobcats have three tournaments remaining in October to show improvement, before the winter break, the Firestone Invitational, Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational and Phoenix Intercollegiate. They ÚNISHED SIXTH AT THE 2EDBIRD Invitational, ninth at the Cardinal Classic and 16 th in the Nittany Lion Invitational. 4HEY ÚNISHED EIGHTH IN THE MAC Championship in 2017- 18 season, but Lily Pendy was named MAC Sportswoman of the Year. Returning this year for Head Coach, Kelly Ovington are Marissa Balish, Ashley Flynn, Amanda Hayes, Emily Hughes, Chloe McKinzie, Nicole Smiley and Hannah Travis. Plus, three freshmen will be looking to add spark to this year’s squad, Porvasnik, Loftus and Mallory Lovell. They are the only team to have marred Kent Stat’s impressive win of conference CHAMPIONSHIPS -IAMI ÚNISHED third in the conference last season, but team leader, Patrick Flavin has graduated. The Red Hawks begin this year with a relatively young team. Brian Ohr, the only senior on the team, is joined by three juniors, three sophomores and two freshmen. The team began this fall with A TENTH PLACE ÚNISH AT THE Northern Intercollegiate. They were scheduled to compete in University of Cincinnati’s The Bearcat, but it had to be cancelled due to heavy rains. In October the Red Hawks will travel to the Notre Dame for the Fighting Irish Invitational, Indiana for the Chatham Hills Collegiate and Arkansas for the Little Rock Invitational.
