Xavier Men Third-year Head Coach Brian McCants has a very young team with one junior, four sophomores and three freshmen entering competition this season. They have not gotten off to a very good start this FALL AS THEY ÚNISHED th out of 12 teams in the Badger Invitationals and The Bearcat was rained out. They still have a chance to turn things around with starts in the Chatham Hills Collegiate and the Musketeer Classic. The Musketeers women’s golf team is off to a strong start this SEASON WITH A FOURTH PLACE ÚNISH at the William and Mary Fall Invitational, FOLLOWED BY ÚNISHING ÚFTH OUT OF TEAMS at the Nittany Lion Invitational. They will play in three more events yet this fall. The Princess Anne Invitational, The MAC Preview and the Palmetto Intercollegiate. Three Flyers, Tripp French, Caleb Wolters, and Domenic Maricocchi were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team. French and Wolters have graduated, but Maricocchi and his brother Paul return for Head Coach, Gip Hoagland’s squad. They will be joined by two seniors, two sophomores and four freshmen. The Flyers opened the fall season tied for third at the Joe Feaganes Invitational, but slipped to 15 th out of 16 teams at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Cedar Rapids Iowa and ninth at the Inverness Intercollegiate. Theywillwrapup the fall schedule with appearances in the Firestone Invitational, Tom Tontimonia Invitational, in Cleveland, and the Flyer Invitational. Freshman Abby Bitto and sophomore Ellie Cronin were named to the MAAC All- Conference Team after posting TOP ÚNISHES Cronin and Bitto are set to lead the Lady Flyers in 2018-19 and opened the fall campaign by defeating Ball State in the Flyer Challenge. 4HEY ALSO ÚNISHED FOURTH OUT OF 13 teams at the NKU Collegiate Classic. "ITTO ÚRED HER CAREER LOW ROUND (70) at the BSU Cardinal Classic, BUT THE TEAM ÚNISHED OUT OF 16 teams. They will try to rebound at the Shirley Spork Invitational in Ypsilanti, Michigan and as the host team at the Flyer Invitational to be held at NCR Country Club.
