City of Toledo Enters into Management Contract with Davey Tree Golf Division The city of Toledo owns three golf courses, historic Ottawa Park, Detwiler and Collins Park and just announced that DaveyTree’s Golf Divisionwilloverseetheday-to-daymanagementofall threefacilities. The city had previously entered into a lease contract with an outside company and let them completely run the courses. Under the new four-year agreement withDaveyTree, the citywill maintain control of the properties with Davey Tree assuming responsibility for operation and agronomic functions. Two Ohio Colleges Compete in Linger Longer at Reynolds Lake Oconee The Linger Longer Golf Tournament at Reynolds Lake Oconee features the top collegiate programs in the country. It has been held since 2006 at three of LakeOconee’s six courses, the Oconee, Great Waters, and this year’s location, The Landing. The No. 12 ranked University of Georgia Bulldogs improved their scores everyday towin both the individual and team titles. Two Ohio Schools competed: Toledo finished 15th and Ohio State came in 8th in the team competition. OSU’s DanWetterich posted three rounds of 70-70-72 to collect a T-8 finish. His teammate Caleb Ramirez was T-13.
