The ‘Mediocre Golf Tour’ Comes to Toledo ‘Playing Badly and Having Fun!’ In 2018 most golfers were unaware of a monumental golf organization the Mediocre Golf Association (MGA) that opened a chapter in Toledo. If you are a hacker and proud of it, the MGA may be for you. This is a golf tour for thehighhandicapper, more into having a good time on and off the course. A scratch golfer in this league is someone, who has an itch, rather than an accomplished player. In addition to Toledo, other MGA chapters can be found across Ohio in, Athens, Beavercreek, Columbus, Piqua and Cincinnati. MGA requires each chapter to conduct eight events each year. The Toledo Chapter’s season will begin in March with the ‘Rebel Beach Am- Am’ to be held at Stone Oak and concludes in October with the ‘2019 Last Gasp’ at Bedford Hills. Just like the PGA Tour, the MGA Tour hosts four major championships, ‘The Bastards,’ ‘The MGA,’ ‘The F.U. Open’ and ‘The Bratish Open,’ with the names slightly altered from the traditional major tournaments. The Bratish Ohio Golf Journal
