Golf Travel is Still a Viable Option Many Golfaholics are fed up with being stuck at home and are ready to experience new adventures, but are wary of staying in a hotel, or boarding an airplane. The second issue is a very easy fix. We are fortunate in Ohio to be blessed with a number of great golfing opportunities in every portion of the state. Plus, the Interstate Highway system that crisscrosses the state makes day trips to play 18 or 36 holes an easy task. Visit a new course and still make it back home for a night cap, before falling into the comfort of your own bed. The Arthur Hills Golf Trail in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan has five of Hills’ best designs and can provide individual lodging, as well. If you want to travel a wee bit farther, Ohio Golfers are within a short drive of great golf in Michigan. As Fall approaches and Buckeye Golfaholics seek warmer climes, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas have some of the best golf in the country, plus offer cottages, or villas for those golfers wanting to keep distance between themselves and other guests. Three of the best resorts to visit in Michigan, BOYNE, Forest Dunes and Arcadia Bluffs offer cottages that allow your group to stay within your own bubble. BOYNE has been one of the leaders in preparing safety protocols for every golfer and they have ten courses from which to choose. The staff has been trained to properly disinfect the equipment, but still provide excellent service to Ohio Golf Journal
