Dr. Renee Powell Receives PGA Section Award Renee Powell has received the 2020 Northern Ohio PGA Section Patriot Award. She has received numerous awards over the years and along with her father, William are the only Father and Daughter to be enshrined into the PGA of America’s Hall of Fame. “I am thrilled to receive this award from the section. Every award anyone receives is so different and so important. I am truly honored.” Powell continues to teach young people at her family’s course in East Canton and works with veterans for PGA HOPE. Judd Stephenson to be inducted into Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame As a young man Stephenson passed on an appointment to the Naval Academy to stay closer to home and attend Ohio University. He was the Head Professional at Avon Oaks Country Club for over 30 years and has received nearly every award possible during his career as a PGA Professional. “This is the highlight of my professional career. How you are thought of by your peers and the Hall of Fame committee is very humbling....Just to be considered is an honor.
