E veryone knows the importance of stretching and warming up before you begin your round, but exactly what stretches are best remains a mystery. You want your body to be ready for the explosive, repetitive NATURE OF THE GOLF SWING (AMSTRINGS NEED TO BE OPENED HIPS NEED ADDITIONAL ÛEXIBILITY AND YOUR CORE needs to be able to turn. (ERE ARE A FEW SIMPLE STRETCHES THAT WILL HELP YOUR BODY PRODUCE THOSE YARD DRIVES WHEN YOU TEE OFF STRETCHES FOR THE FIRST TEE WARRIOR CRESENT LUNGE Begin with your left foot resting on the back of a golf cart. As you bend the left knee allow your right hip to press forward and engage the buttocks. Inhale as you straighten your left knee and breathe out as you bend it. GOLF BENEFIT: Greater power and extension at THE ÚNISH AND ALLOWS GLUTES TO ENGAGE THUS GENERATING more power, club head speed and distance off the tee. HAMSTRING STRETCH With your left foot still on the cart and extended, inhale to lengthen your spine. When you exhale, hinge or lean forward until you feel a slight burning in your hamstrings. Only extend for a gentle stretch and move in and out of the pose with each breath.
