Jaysen Hansen Rallies to Win NOPGA Pro By Alan Freeman, NEOH Golf Beechmont Country Club’s Jaysen Hansen rallied from a five-shot deficit with a final-round 4-under par 68 on Wednesday to win the 2020 Northern Robison Captures Ohio Senior Pro By Alan Freeman, NEOH Golf Gary Robison birdied three of the last four holes to card a final round 3-under 68 to win his sixth NOPGA Senior Professional Championship at Brookside Country Club. Robison finished with a two-day total of even-par 142 to win by five shots over runner-up Dan Sutton , Director of Golf at Heather Downs Country Club in Toledo. Sutton, the first- round leader, posted his best finish in this event with a final-round 74 for a two-day total of 5-over 147. Robison was the host pro at Brookside and his 68 was the only sub-par round produced over the two rounds. Robison, 66, and Sutton, 52, advance to the Senior PGA Professional National Championship, which will be held Oct. 15-18, at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. They will be joined by third-place finisher and defending champion Steve Stone of Maumee Golf Center, and Canton’s Tony Adcock , who plays out of Seven Hills Country Club. Stone and Adcock came in at 6-over 148. Ohio PGA Professional Championship atWestbrook Country Club. Hansen’s 68 was the lowest round of the event and enabled him to pass the top-four second-round leaders with a 54-hole total of 4-under 212. The victory was worth $3,000 and earned Hansen one of five NOPGA spots in the 54th Annual PGA National Professional Championship to be held April 25-28 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Also qualifying for the national championship were runners-up Jim Troy of Humna Golf USA, Barrington’s Mark Sierak, and Windmill Golf Center’s Randy Dietz, all in at 3-under 213, and Portage Country Club Assistant Golf Professional Adam Lewicki, who finished at 214.
