BRRRRR It’s Time to Head SOUTH!! Its COLD and SNOWY in Ohio this time of year and I am heading to warmer climes. My wife and I headed to sunny Orlando, Florida for the PGA Merchandise Show. I played a couple of the Walt Disney World Courses before the show and then teed it up at the Bonita Bay Club near Naples before we came home. Speaking of the Disney Golf Courses, The Palm, The Magnolia and Lake Buena Vista are celebrating 50 years and have undergone massive renovations to restore the courses to their original splendor. The Arnold Palmer Golf Company oversees the Disney courses and both Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods won PGA Tour events at Disney, when the tour visited in years past. We are happy to bring you the February issue of Ohio Golf Journal filled with great content to get your golf year started. Club and ball reviews, travel segments, plus golf news are all included for your enjoyment. For those of you looking for a reason to travel to a new golf course, Ed Schmidt contributed a piece about 10 New Golf Courses to visit in 2023. Ed Travis reviews Callaway’s new Paradym woods and irons. Pinehurst reports that Michigan’s Tom Doak is designing their newest course, No. 10. Finally, we have a piece about the fastest growing sport in America, Pickleball. It has been a favorite game of country clubbers for several years and the rest of the world is beginning to catch up.
