Miami Valley Golf Association Announces 2023 Tournament Schedule The Miami Valley Golf Association recently announced a full tournament schedule for 2023. Competition begins with the Spring Better Ball on April 24 and finishes September 18 with the 2023 Celebration at Dayton Country Club. In between, 13 more events are being held to test golfers. To view the compete schedule visit: https://www.miamivalleygolf.org/inside-pages/events/2018-schedule-7391.html NOPGA Makes Donation To Ohio Girls Golf Foundation The Northern Ohio PGA Section (NOPGA) Foundation presented a grant to the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation (OGGF) which has given over $100,000 of scholarships to girl golfers in the state and provided teaching instruction to hundreds of girls, helping to grow the game. The mission of the OGGF is to encourage, sponsor and support the game of golf for girls by providing college scholarships, golf training programs and financial assistance to attend designated golf tournaments. In addition to the college scholarships, OGGF has hosted clinics and tournaments. Annually they host the High School Showcase featuring LPGA Tour Professional Barb Mucha. It also sponsors instructional Golf Clinics each spring for girls age 8-18, geared to inform, educate and expand knowledge of all aspects of golf. Plus, through the Ongoing Lesson Program girls have the opportunity to continue improving their game via private lessons with PGA Professionals, partially funded by the Foundation.
