2024 Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Schedules Ohio Tournaments Boys and girls between the ages of 8-18 are invited to compete in Hurricane Junior Golf Tournaments (HJGT). HJGT can help every junior golfer build a compelling digital profile, provide an extensive database of college golf programs and help college coaches follow your performance. HJGT events are held in Ohio, Indiana, plus 16 other states east of the Mississippi, as well as Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Applicants must also supply a copy of their high school transcript, one letter of recommendation, financial information, including FAFSA. The applicant is also required to submit an essay talking about their golf experience, what they intend to pursue in college and why they are a good candidate for the OGGF Scholarship. They begin with the Ohio Amateur Qualifiers held at the end of May and June. NCR, Stone Ridge, Hickory Hills, Medina, Losantiville, and Fairlawn all host qualifiers leading up to the Ohio Amateur held July 8-12 at Sylvania Country Club. The Ohio Senior Amateur will be held at Portage Country Club June 17-19 with the Ohio Mid-Am hosted by Coldstream Country Club August 19-20.
