Golf Season Has Finally Arrived!! The Masters is over and that signals the true start of golf season in Ohio. Even though the flowers aren’t blooming here yet, the Azaleas were as beautiful, as always, and in full bloom in Georgia. Ohio was well represented at this year’s Masters, Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) and the Drive, Chip & Putt (DCP) National Finals. Ohio State University Golf Team Member, Neal Shipley won low amateur honors at the Masters. Gianna Clemente was in the final group on Saturday for the ANWA and four Ohio junior golfers made it to the DCP Finals. You can learn more about these talented golfers inside this issue. Finally, we have the third and final installment of Barry Cronin’s Michigan Golf Odyssey. On the homeward leg of his journey Barry visited both courses at Arcadia, the Bluffs and South, plus Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor. Len Ziehm reviews several books just in time for your summer reading list and Steve Pike writes about Sand Valley’s expansion plans.
