Strongsville’s Jake Scott Wins PGA Tournament in Florida

Jake Scott of Strongsville, Ohio continued his dominant play Tuesday, shooting a 3-under 69 to win Event No. 5 of the 2021/22 PGA Tournament Series at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Scott outdueled Series stalwart Bob Sowards of Dublin, on the back nine of the Dye Course to claim his second PGA Series victory this year, finishing with a two-shot win at 7-under 137.

Scott has had a very good season in Florida. He has also finished second, third and fifth in previous Series events. The $5,000 first place prize clinched the money title for Scott, who has earned $16,632 this season.

PGA Village has been very kind to Scott, the 34-year-old also won the 2012 National Car Rental PGA Assistant Professional Championship here.
