Now in his seventh season at Akron, Head Coach David Trainor has led the Zips to three NCAA Regional Tournament appearances.
The team of one senior, three juniors, two sophomores and one freshman, is made of players from around the world. Sweden, Scotland and England are represented, as well as, Ohio and Alabama.
They had top-10 finishes last fall at the Bearcat Invitational, Firestone Invitational, Mountaineer Intercollegiate and ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.
The spring season will see Akron in the Wexford Intercollegiate, Palmetto Intercollegiate, Linger Longer, plus the Furman and Irish Creek Intercollegiates, before competing in the MAC Championship.

Akron Women
Head Coach Jenny King is now in her 10th season at the helm of the Akron Women’s Golf Team.
During her tenure, the Lady Zips have won an Individual MAC Championship, six team tournaments, earned 12 individual tournament titles and posted 40 top-five finishes.
Their fall schedule was highlighted by a runner-up at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational and a third-place finish at the Ball State Classic. They also traveled to Vail, Colorado for the Golfweek College Challenge and competed in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in Kentucky.
They are off to a fast start this spring with a fifth-place at the MAC Challenge in Lakeland, Florida and a runner-up at the Rio Verde Invitational held in Arizona.
The Lady Zips will log the road miles in March with tournaments in Texas, Virginia and Kentucky. They round out the spring schedule in April, with the Delores Black Falcon Invitational at Bowling Green and the MAC Championship.
