The August 2020 Rounds Played Report has been released by Golf Datatech, and it shows that Greater Cleveland area golf courses have enjoyed 23.8% increase over the round numbers from August 2019.
Pleasant summer temperatures and 9% less rainfall than normal helped boost those totals.
For the state of Ohio, rounds were up 17% in August vs. 2019, and year-to-date are up 6.3% in total, a number affected by early spring shutdowns.
Golf Datatech is not maintaining Year-to-Date totals by city or region due to COVID shutdowns affecting those aggregate numbers.
For the USA in total, August rounds played were up 20.6%, and YTD are up 6.2%.
