Before the Coronavirus Scare forced people to quarantine in their homes, Cleveland-area golf was experiencing one of its best February’s on record.
Several 50+ degree days and an unusually dry February led to an explosive 299.0% increase in rounds played across Greater Cleveland versus February, 2019. The state as a whole saw increased numbers from a year ago, with play up 91.3%.
Through the month of March Cleveland is up 109.4%, and Ohio is up 47.9% year to date.
Nationwide rounds played were up 19.1% for the month of February vs 2019, and up 15.2% year to date.
