Beechmont Country Club’s Jaysen Hansen rallied from a five-shot deficit with a final-round 4-under par 68 on Wednesday to win the 2020 Northern Ohio PGA Professional Championship at Westbrook Country Club.
Hansen’s 68 was the lowest round of the event and enabled him to pass the top-four second-round leaders with a 54-hole total of 4-under 212.
The victory was worth $3,000 and earned Hansen one of five NOPGA spots in the 54th Annual PGA National Professional Championship to be held April 25-28 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Also qualifying for the national championship were runners-up Jim Troy of Humna Golf USA, Barrington’s Mark Sierak, and Windmill Golf Center’s Randy Dietz, all in at 3-under 213, and Portage Country Club Assistant Golf Professional Adam Lewicki, who finished at 214.
