Highland Meadows Golf Club was the site of the 88th Habitec Toledo Open, last month. Rodes, from Plymouth, Michigan fired rounds of 69-64 for a total of 9-under-par, to collect the trophy. Domenic Mancinelli from Northville, Illinois and Jake Scott from Strongsville, finished two shots back, to tie for runner-up.
Jon Jones, from Youngstown, was victorious in the Senior Division with rounds of 74-69. Canton’s Gary Robison and Gary Resnais, from Painesville, were one shot behind Jones to tie for second place.
The Habitec Toledo Open is sponsored by Habitec Security and presented by American Interiors, Canberra Corporation, Club Car and Century Equipment. It is open to all PGA of America members and apprentices, non-PGA professionals, and amateurs with a handicap of 5.0 or less. The tournament was founded in 1929 and boasts a top-notch list of past winners, including: Byron Nelson, Ryan Armour and Frank Stranahan.
