The Marathon Classic is long since over and the winner Danielle Kang is continuing her strong play on the LPGA Tour. Another important aspect of the 2020 Marathon Classic was also completed last month.
The fourth Marathon LPGA Classic Women’s Summit took place virtually on September 17th with the theme ‘Women FORE Women’ and generated $112,000 for 25 northwest Ohio children’s charities.
Even though the year has presented challenges for every business and event, the Marathon LPGA Classic Presented by Dana decided to host the event virtually with a full agenda for all 475 participants.

The Keynote Speaker was Carla Hall, co-host of ABC’s Emmy award- winning show “The Chew” and competitor on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and “Top Chef: All Stars”.

“We knew our best and safest option was to host a virtual experience,” stated Meg Ressner, Chair of the Women’s Summit Steering Committee. “We were determined that the event would take place because we needed this time, and because the kids served by the Marathon LPGA Classic children’s charities needed us now, more than ever.”
