The National Golf Foundation (NGF) is reporting that the number of women golfers in this country has increased to almost 6.2 million. Over 600,000 women have taken up the game in the last two years

An NGF spokesman said “participation from women and girls has seen a notable increase in the past few years.”

“There hasn’t been this much optimism and new activity in the golf business since the turn of the century,” said Joe Beditz, NGF president and CEO.

Numbers show that there were just over 25 million golfers in the United States in 2021, and increase from 24.8 million the prior year.
