The Tennessee Women’s Open began in 1999 and has been contested at the Stonehenge Golf Club in Fairfield Glade for the last 16 years. Past winners include LPGA members and top amateur players.
Stonehenge, designed by Joe Lee, sits on the rolling landscape on the Cumberland Plateau and is a 6,549 yard par 72 layout.
Fox’s first round 76 gave her a two-shot lead entering the final round, of the 36-hole event. Her second round 79 was the low round of the day and she won by a convincing ten strokes.
Fox had previously won the 2019 Florida Women’s Senior Open and had competed in the Senior LPGA Championship and the U.S. Senior Women’s Open.
Cheryl, originally from Tiffin, now resides in Florida. She compes in Senior LPGA and Senior Women’s USGA events.
