The countdown is on for one of the annual rites of summer in Toledo.

The Marathon Classic Presented by Dana is one of the longest running events on the LPGA Tour. As always, this year’s tournament will entertain a strong contingent of LPGA Tour stars and be contested over the Highland Meadows Golf Club, July 8-14.

Since its inception in 1984, the event has generated over $10.8 million in donations to 170 Northwest Ohio Children’s Charities.

Various ticket packages are available including, weekly clubhouse and daily grounds tickets, that can be purchased at several local businesses, or online at: https://marathonclassic.com/tickets/.

One great option is the Labatt Blue Light Party Deck at the 14th hole. It’s always a high-energy environment with tons of excitement. Meet your friends, or take a client for a fun day at the golf course.

Other features at this year’s event include ‘Putts n Par’ Family Zone and college students with a valid ID will be admitted free.

Toledo golf fans will want to get their first real look at 2019 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf Champion, Maria Fassi. She finished T-12 at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open, her first event as a professional. Fassi also finished runner-up to Jennifer Kupcho in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April. She has super star written all over her resume’.
