Two Ohio golfers advanced from the 36-hole medal play to make the match play portion of the US Mid-Am held at Sankaty Head Golf in Siasconset, Massachusetts and Miacomet Golf Course in Nantucket.
Ryan Gutowski from Akron tied for 15th in the medal portion, but was defeated in the first round of match play by Miguel Ordonez from Panama 4 and 3. Andrew Bailey from Cleveland was seeded 15th for match play and made it to the quarterfinals before he fell to Mark Costanza from New Jersey 5 and 4.
