In a pre-season poll of Atlantic 10 Golf Coaches, Dayton was picked to finish first in the league.
The Flyers finished third at last year’s championship and return four of the five golfers from that team. They are experienced with five seniors on the squad.
In his ninth season at Dayton, Head Coach Gip Hoagland, recruits athletes, who succeed on the course, in the classroom, as well as, in the community.
Last season, UD won the Northern Kentucky Collegiate Classic and the Atlantic 10 Match Play. Additionally, the Flyers picked up one second place and two third place finishes among their eight top-five placements.
The Flyers have already competed in the Atlantic 10 Match Play in Weston, Florida and the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate at Hilton Head.
They still have three tournaments remaining before the Atlantic 10 Championships at Grand Cypress in Orlando at the end of April.

University of Dayton Women
The UD Women’s Golf team competes in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Head Coach Sally Kosters is in her 12th season at the helm of the Dayton women’s golf team. She stresses academics and the Lady Flyers posted a 3.505 team grade point average this past spring.
UD is a young team, with two seniors, one junior, four sophomores, and four freshmen on the roster. In the MAAC pre-season coaches poll they were picked to finish third in the MAAC.
The Flyers are coming off a solid fall season, where they earned two top-five finishes as a team.
They have a very busy schedule this spring competing in six events before the MAAC Championship at Disney’s Magnolia Course in Orlando at the end of April.
