First Tee of Lake Erie Volunteer Wins National Award Long-time First Tee of Lake Erie volunteer Bob Sobecki was named the George H.W. Bush Volunteer of the Year! This prestigious national award, sponsored by Golf Digest, is given annually to one volunteer chosen from over 150 First Tee chapters. Sobecki was nominated by the First Tee of Lake Erie’s staff and selected from a pool OhioGolf News First Tee – Lake Erie program director Alison Feehan. The George H.W. Bush Volunteer of the Year award recognizes a volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional service and commitment to participants and staff of First Tee by providing hands-on support with grassroots events, fundraising activities, character development, and more.
