DDWGA Scholarship Application Open Since its inception in 1996, the Dayton District Women’s Golf Association (DDWGA) Scholarship Awards have been a symbol of achievement for area High School Females connected to the game of golf. This prestigious award has recognized the most deserving young women who have demonstrated an exceptional passion and commitment to the game in the Miami Valley. With a long-standing tradition of encouraging female golfers, the DDWGA has awarded scholarships totaling over $60,000 to 71 deserving recipients. These accomplished young women have used their awards to pursue their dreams and ambitions in the world of golf and have become Scohy MVGA Mid-Am Player of Year AGAIN! shining examples of what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and a deep connection with the game. Applications are currently being accepted through January 31 for the 2024-2025 Academic year. Interested golfers can click HERE to learn more and complete an application. Jeff Scohy has won the 2023 Mid-Amateur Player of the Year Award for the fourth year in a row. The 46-year-old Greene County Resident, Bellbrook Golf Coach and NCR Member, accumulated 445 total points to outdistance the second-place finisher and fivetime Metropolitan Champion, Pete Samborsky by 185 Points. Jeff won the Miami Valley Golf Association and Greater Cincinnati Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championships, as well as the Tony Blom, Match Play Championship. He added top finishes in the Ohio Amateur and Ohio Mid-Amateur, plus qualified for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. Jeff will be presented his Award after the 2024 Spring Better Ball at NCR CC on Monday, April 29, 2024.
