Doug Hanzel Wins 4th Senior Event of the Year in Pinehurst
Doug Hanzel, who was inducted into the Ohio Golf Hall of Fame in 2019, got his latest win at the Society of Seniors Dale Morey Championship held at Pine Needles and Mid Pines, in Southern Pines.
The victory was Hanzel’s fourth win of the year in Senior Amateur events. He was a co-captain of the 1979 Kent State Golf Team, was victorious at the 2013 U.S. Senior Amateur and has had an exceptional amateur career. He has been named AmateurGolf.com Senior Amateur of the year three times.
